We got a new patio poured this weekend so now we’re looking at outdoor furniture. What do y’all have/like/recommend/hate etc.

Have steel and aluminum. Hate the steel because it all rusts after a few years and just gets thrown away. Buy aluminum once, cry once.

I really like sling chairs, because they seem to allow good air flow to keep you cool. But like steel, the fabric always tears after a few years and it gets thrown away. Nobody seems to make replacement sling panels.

I have some cushion chairs, and they’re great as long as they’re dry. But cushions only last if you bring them inside and don’t let the squirrels or birds get them.

Friend has teak, and it is awesome, but really expensive. Another friend has composite furniture with stainless hardware, and I really like that. Also really expensive.

My favorite patio furniture I got from a pool that was replacing their furniture. They’re $200 new, but I got used ones for $10. Aluminum doesn’t rust, the bands don’t break like sling fabric, keeps you cool.

As we flip our calendars from January to February, your mind might be on Valentine’s Day or the impending blossoms and rainfall of spring. After all, summer is still months away, probably not bringing its trademark sunshine and long days until the end of March at the earliest.

Sam’s Club, on the other hand, isn’t approaching seasons quite like the rest of us are.

The membership warehouse is already dropping some incredible summer finds, from outdoor furniture to accessories. While we’d normally wait for the official change of season, there’s no reason you should pass up a great deal when it comes around.

And Sam’s Club sure is making that decision difficult, with ten outdoor furniture pieces to buy that are tough to pass up if you’re in the market for a backyard refresh.

Sam’s Club has two multi-piece furniture sets, perfect for gathering the group outdoors this summer: the Member’s Mark Halifax 4-Piece Deep Seating Set with Fire Pit for $2,699 and the Member’s Mark Hampton 5-Piece Sectional Seating Set with Fire Pit for $3,299.00.

The Halifax set includes two swivel rocker lounge chairs, a three-seater sofa, an LP adjustable flame fire table, and four individual polyester furniture covers, so you can keep the set protected during spring rains. You can also grab another set: Member’s Mark 2-Pack LED Patio Touch Lamps for $69.98. These LED patio touch lamps are easy to use. All you have to do is touch the lampshade to turn it on and off.

Like the Resin Rattan Lanterns, there are options—the lights change colors and the batteries hold for four to ten hours.

Finally, you might need something to keep the bugs away, like the Member’s Mark Outdoor Cement Citronella Candle for $19.98.
