As a mostly private antique firearm collector, I made my first auction purchase at Rock Island Auction Company. I was very excited about the wonderful peice I won, and couldn’t wait to receive it.
I just won an auction and by the time they added all their fees, I had paid 50 Perceny more for the gun than my bid price. Terrible deal that I will never recoup. I also sold a gun and after all.
I called the auction house and requested a phone call to bid real time on an item. No call; email sent later saying they tried to call, no missed calls. Poor service, good old boy system at work.
Sent photos of my items and drove 3 hours to Rockford, IL. They told me my item not in good condition. They seen my photos, told me to mail them or bring them in. They could have told me that.
Unfortunately I am left with no choice other than to tell my story dealing with RIA. My last two purchases were not as described. The first item had altered trigger parts that were not oem and the.
