It wasn’t just sports cards and memorabilia that were among the top sellers in the event, as an extremely rare 1999 Pokemon Fossil First Edition factory-sealed unopened booster box case sold for a record price of $126,000.

One of the most interesting and unique items in the event was a 1961 Post Cereal original package of Ten “Post-Tens” unopened boxes featuring a Mickey Mantle card on the box tray that sold for $21,600.

“This was such an exciting auction for us because we had an incredibly diverse selection of items, ranging from unopened Pokemon boxes to game-used vintage baseball and football items,” said Brian Dwyer, President of REA. “It’s a great sign how many unique and new-to-the-hobby items we continue to get in all of our events, so there’s a lot to look forward to as we approach the end of the summer.”

REA’s next event will be its September Monthly Auction that opens on Thursday, September 11, 2025. There are also more than 1,100 sport and non-sport collectibles currently available in the REA Marketplace, which has done more than $2 million in sales since its launch in mid-March.
